BIO
Rahul has been performing standup comedy for 8 years and has been seen at such LA clubs as The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, Cobbs in San Francisco and NYC clubs: Gotham, Carolines, Stand-Up NY, Comic Strip and is the host of a monthly Indian Comedy Festival at Don't Tell Mama's.
In 2002, he was a writer for a new sketch comedy show, Human Relations 101, on WPAX. His sketches have also been performed at Caroline's and PSNBC. In 2001, Rahul wrote, directed, starred, and produced a short film, "A Close Shave", that was on Comedy Central and www.ifilm.com (keyword: A Close Shave) and won many film festival awards. In 1997, he produced a successful off-off Broadway romantic musical revue called "In Good Company".
He was awarded Theatre Fairfield's 1995 Playwriting Festival for Best Comedy: "Love is Here to Stay". His favorite acting role is Malvolio in Twelfth Night for Theatre Fairfield.
Look forward to Rahul's one man show coming this year titled, "The Good Family".
When Rahul is not on stage or writing, he is fending off his mom's constant pestering on why he is not a licensed doctor or plays one on TV.
